Cash Drawer Automatically Ending Issue?

I have seen people have had this issue in the past but can't find a resolution even after many back and forths with Square. We use the 2nd Gen Square stand with the iPad A16 connected to the printer driven cash drawer. This setup has worked fine for a long time but then suddenly around 4 weeks ago the cash drawer now automatically ends multiple times a day. We can't seem to see any recurring trait that triggers this from happening it just seems to be random times through the day and this can be extremely frustrating during busy periods. It's even worse when the staff available at the time dont have the knowledge or ability to re-start the cash drawer using their log in. 

 

We have gone through the usual troubleshooting stages with square, including changing over from Square retail to Square POS app but still this issue persists. Has anyone experienced this and have a resolution?
