CAS scale connection to square

I purchased the scale cas , square printer, square stand/ipad, hub and cash drawer. Everything is working fine except the scale is not coming up on the settings hardware. I have called CAS they couldn’t help. I rang square and everything they said I have done. Has anyone else had this issue.?

I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing this issue even after reaching out to our Support Team. Did you find that you were able to resolve the issue during your call with our team, and it has since reoccurred?


It sounds like you may have already gone through the general USB accessory troubleshooting steps outlined in this online guide. Additionally, the CAS PD-2 scales need to be in ECR-5 mode to work properly.

To ensure your CAS PD-2 scale is set up in the right Extended Control Register (ECR) mode, following these steps:

1. With the scale turned off, hold the T key and turn the scale on.
2. When “Ecr SEt” appears, release the T key.
3. The display will show tyPE X, where X is the current type setting. Use the ***** key to select type 5.
4. Press the 0 key to save.
5. Turn the scale off then back on again.
