2 separate variations 1 item

I am trying to figure out the best way to accomplish this. I have a product that comes in 4 different styles and in 24 different colors.

Rather then creating 4 separate items with option set of 24 colors. 

Is there a way to be able to have 1 generic name and then be able to select two separate variations. 1 for styles and 1 for colors?

The only way I can figure it out by adding both options it creates 96 variations. This is too many to scroll through.

I would rather be able to just check the style I want and then the color?

Is this not possible?
