Wireless unable to connect - unsecured public network

Our Square Terminal will no longer connect to Wireless through the Dept of Education, WA. The Square terminal says, "Unable to connect to WIRELESS-5 because this is an unsecured public network."

We had no issue connecting before. Has something changed?

Welcome to the community, and sorry to see that it’s trouble with your Terminal that’s brought you here. 

If the Terminal was previously connecting to this network without issue, then I’d suggest checking off the basics from our troubleshooting guide, here.  

Keep in mind however, you won’t be able to connect your Square Terminal to a captive portal network. A captive portal is a network that requires you to agree to terms or conditions to access the internet connection (these networks are common at coffee shops, airports and other public internet access points).
