After Last Update - Email Notifications now includes transaction ID

As of the last update, the Email Notifications now includes transaction ID under the sale amount.

For us, this change to the formatting means that we can no longer quickly/easily identify the Store location that performed the sale/refund on our mobile screens.

eg: Old Format:
$60.00 payment received
Hello JoJo's Brighton,
You accepted $60.00 from a card ending in 0646. Your Square balance after this transaction is $XXXX.XX

New Format:
$22.00 Payment
#vVh5A21PldGePM6YgL3xkajJvaB
Hello JoJo's Brighton,
You accepted $22.00 from a card ending in 6210. Your Square balance after this transaction is $XXXX.XX

The NEW inclusion of the Transaction ID throws out all SMS/Email formatting.

Anyone else experiencing issues with this ?

Any suggestion on how to get Square Support to provide a reason for this change, and/or the option to display Transaction ID or not.

Or even to move the Transaction ID to above the link to the actual Sale in the notification email.

Thanks in advance.

Hey there @JoJos_Greens,

Thanks for reaching out to share your feedback with us.

This is certainly something I'd be happy to flag with our Product Team. Are you able to include a screenshot in your reply of how the emails look from your mobile device? Be sure to remove or block out any personal information from the email.

While I'm not aware of a way to remove the Transaction ID from these automated email notifications, I'd be happy to flag your request with my team and come back to you with an update.

For now, I'll keep a lookout for your reply!

Thanks Laurie - The Transaction ID is only appearing after the latest update - It never appeared before.
As much as I can see the value in this appearing on the Email Notifications, it should be lower in the body of the email, above the actual link to the transaction.

Below is how we now see it, Green is how it used to look, red is how it now looks.

The email notification that pops up (no screenshot yet, I will get today) is one of the real issues for us. Especially refunds.
Where our staff have given a customer a refund and we cannot see from which store.

Got you, thanks for including these screenshots @JoJos_Greens

I've flagged this feedback with our team and have shared your examples above. While I'm unable to guarantee this will revert back to the previous version, if I do have an update to share here, I'll be sure to circle back to you here.

In the meantime, you can access this information by generating either a Sales Summary or a Transaction Report from your online Square Dashboard.
