Weebly autogenerated sitemap is empty

Hi,

 

When I type http://www.mydomainename.com/sitemap.xml on a browser, I only get a blanc page with nothing but a message that says "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

 

I don't think the issue is in the message but I don't understand why my site map is empty.

When I try generating a site map using an other online tool it does generate a sitemap.xml with actual content.

 

Can you help me figure out why weebly can't générate a proper sitemap?

I need this site map to get indexed by Google.

SEO consultation is not offered here in the Community, however, there are some steps to set. up a sitemap within Square Online that is listed here. 

 

When you have a moment, I'd suggest making sure that your settings match what is listed in the article.

Thank you for your answer.

 

The thing is that I am not asking for SEO  but I am reporting a bug.

 

I am just trying to understand why something that should be generated automatically by weebly is not working.

 

Normally I shouldn't have to set up a sitemap and even if I wanted to do so manually weebly does not allow any user interaction with the sitemap.

 

The step  by step guide you gave me shows how to reference a website in search engin which my final purpose but not the subject of my post.

In this case, I would suggest getting in touch with Weeblys support team so that they can take a look and file a ticket if necessary.
