Recently, the Orders menu has changed and is no longer divided by day. Screenshots below.
- Today
- Tomorrow
- Future Dates
This makes it incredibly difficult to read at a glance. The $ order total was also very helpful.
Secondly, new orders were better presented in the running list with the "New" label vs. under the Scheduled tab.
"Scheduled' orders will not print unless they are marked as 'in progress' which did not happen before this change. As a business that does a high volume of pre-orders, we don't want to risk missing new orders as they come in.
Please consider a return to the divider by date as seen on mobile view below.
Thank you!
Hey there, @tulanejeff -
Appreciate your feedback on the recent changes made to the Orders screen and how it's impacting your business. If you could drop this over on our Feedback Discussion Board or Feature Request Board. Both of these areas are great places to add this feedback, so other sellers can add their voice and our Product Team can see what's a popular ask from our sellers.
@Kassi_ I actually first posted this in the Feedback Discussion Board - and it was moved here to the Help section.
I'm sure there are other restaurant users with similar views.
@TheRealChipA have you had any impacts from the changes above?
@tulanejeff I read your post yesterday but didn't have much in the way of a response. Given that we are 98% counter service in the ice cream shop, I have very little use for the Orders tab. We use it for the occasional delivery/pickup order, but that's it. Since my KDS are set up to automatically print online orders when they arrive, the only reason I use the Orders tab is to complete an order after it is picked up.
That being said, I can agree with you having one run-on list is confusing and not helpful at all. But I can only agree in principle as changes here just don't impact me enough to have an educated/experienced opinion.
Thank you - agree the KDS has become essential to our operations as well.
Hoping to hear from more pre-order and advance online order users. 🤞
