Let ChatGPT Create Draft Invoices and Customers in Square

Square needs a proper seller-facing ChatGPT integration.

I already use ChatGPT to prepare client communications, extract booking details and organize the information required for invoices. Yet I must then manually copy the client’s name, email, phone number, service description, price, taxes, due date and payment terms into Square.

ChatGPT should be able to connect securely to my Square account and:

  • Create or update a customer
  • Prepare a draft invoice
  • Add line items, taxes, due dates and payment terms
  • Generate a draft payment link
  • Present everything for my approval before sending

This does not require unrestricted access or autonomous payments. Square can use revocable OAuth permissions, audit logs and mandatory merchant confirmation before anything is sent or charged—the same kinds of controls already used throughout modern business software.

Square has announced ChatGPT integrations, but they appear focused on helping consumers discover and transact with sellers. The glaringly obvious use case is allowing sellers to use ChatGPT to operate their own Square accounts.

The underlying Square APIs already support customers, invoices and payments. Merchants should not be told to manually duplicate the work or hire developers to build a basic connection that Square should provide natively.

This would save me meaningful time on virtually every booking. I suspect thousands of service businesses have exactly the same workflow.

Requested capability: A native Square connection for ChatGPT that can create customers, draft invoices and draft payment links, with explicit merchant approval before anything is finalized or sent.

Square Support specifically directed me to post this request here because this forum is monitored. I would appreciate confirmation that it has been forwarded to the Seller AI or Integrations product team.
