Modifier inventory counts, please

I’m submitting this to request that — just like we have running counts for items — we be given the ability to enter counts for modifier tracking/86ing.  The ability to toggle modifiers between in/out of stock is great, but an automated count-down would be very welcome.

I think in general, more ability to control how you track stock would be beneficial. While modifiers would definitely help - a slightly more complex approach where you can assign ingredients or parts to items to have shared stock would be great. We have items that have shared ingredients and being able to control stock between multiple items would makes tracking so much easier.
e.g. Selling two hampers where both have sausages in them. Being able to stock track sausages so that all sausage-inclusive items are 86/ed when out of sausages.

Overall, a more indepth stock system would be extremely beneficial for many people!

Hello. This feature is one of the biggest reasons we are thinking of switching our bagel shop to toast. Square needs this feature.  Is modifier inventory tracking coming anytime soon?

@Barrettsbagels thanks for your support. Really inefficient for us to track manually in a fast-paced environment. This would make our order workflow so much faster.

We would like inventory items to be a part of a larger product. ie a gift basket, if we sell lavender soap, body wash and potpourri individually and as a set, We would love the individual items to be removed when we sold the whole. This would enable us to track if we have all the parts to make a whole, but not need to make the whole until it sold.

I'd like to add my support to this. We're a pizza restaurant and food truck and we make our own Italian flour Gluten Free bases.  GF base is an option on all of our 30+ pizzas but we have to manually record the sale of each GF base so we don't oversell.  In todays day and age with AI and everything else you would think a Modifier based count system would be standard.  There's nothing worse than having to call a customer when they have placed an order to tell them you have sold out.  Having a count that decreases as items are purchased then says sold out and resets the next day would be brilliant.
