Admin Control to Submit a Time Off Request for Employee

Admin Control to Submit a Time Off Request for Employee

The more we have access to do things on the phone, the better I think everyone would love the Square Teams app.

There needs to be a way the Admins of the Square Teams account, or managers with access, can still handle administrative tasks within the app.

This request is the ability to submit a time off request on behalf of an employee within the app or even on the web.

Yes!!!! Things get communicated verbally all the time and it'd just be easier if I could submit the time off request myself. I can make the change in the schedule without the app request, but it's nice to have it documented.

Yes please!!!  So many tasks I wish I could do on behalf of the employee that I used to be able to do on a different platform. This slows things down me waiting on them.

This has been a feature request since the start of Team scheduling. Please create a way for the admin to mark an employee's time off. Why? I have had numerous employees who cannot use the app (their own tech inability, internet availability, having a phone that is set up for another country that Square does not support, etc). So I need to be able to mark their time off requests myself. Also, once the schedule is published, time off requests are not allowed. So if I need to make a change to an existing schedule including time off for an employee, it REALLY helps to know that they cannot work that day, especially if it is, for example, two weeks out. I can't remember who asked me in an email for a day off unless I can transfer that information manually to the schedule. Another example is: an employee has requested 12 days off for a trip, they (or I) decide to change the trip by 2 days. I cannot manually change a day or two of the request, I have to cancel the whole time off and they have to resubmit it with different dates. I would like the ability to both mark the schedule with time off blocks for each employee AND be able to utilize the availability calendar for both employees and admin to mark UNAVAILABLE times and days not just available ones. Almost no employees use the availability calendar. Marking the times they are unavailable if they have a second job would be much more useful.
