Why can't the customer enter their own phone number for loyalty rewards on the customer facing display (using square register and square for restaurants) prior to closing transaction and show point balance and prompt to redeem (if applicable) by the customer on the customer facing display?
The current redemption process causes mistakes, rework, variations, inefficacies and is frustrating for our customers and staff.
Hello @Rtrombino thanks for your post. I just ran a quick test on my register, so please let me know if this isn't what you're seeing. I am using Square POS (but not for restaurants, so it may be different.) When i start a sale, the customer facing screen shows the items ringing up, and also a blue box in upper right that says "See Rewards". If I click on that, it prompts me to Sign up or Check in...and then I can enter my phone number.
