I currently have the Register and hate it because the customer display is constantly having problems. WIth the register the rest screen has a button in top corner that says sign in for customers that are walking up to register getting ready to make their order. Is that an option on the terminal? How do they sign in or find their "account" to know if they have any rewards to redeem?
@TropicalSno1Yeah, that's something I've been begging for with the connected terminal. Currently, the only way to add a customer to a connected terminal sale is to do it yourself on the point of sale. There isn't a way for the customer to add themselves to the sale like there is with the customer display with the register. Hopefully that's on some dev team's project list this year...
Thanks so much for the reply. I think I'll just use the new Gen 2 stand and have the employees inquire to if they are a loyalty customer or not. I've had loyalty since we opened our shop 4 years ago so the regulars will for sure ask how they log in to get their points. It might actually help too if we're asking each person if they're a loyalty customer before we start the order (I assume the customer can be added at anytime before checkout). I wanted the employees to ask if they were a rewards member before when we had the register, I just think it was too easy not to say anything because the regulars would log-in as soon as they walked up to the customer display on the register.
