Once integrated with e-commerce site, can I use Square text and newsletter features to connect?

I’m a little confused on how this works after Square is integrated with my e-commerce site. So I will only have featured items/products to sell directly through Square for in-person and social media purposes. To use the pop-up, text message and newsletter features, I would have to have an actual Square site published? I would not be able to use these features for my e-commerce website?

At this time the capabilities of integrating Square into your personal e-commerce site are up to the company you are working with. However, if this company doesn't offer a simple way to integrate Square Marketing you may still be able to embed an email collection/sign-up form to your site.

 

If you are subscribed to Square Marketing you may find your personal embedding code on your Square Dashboard.

Follow up question: If they can integrate square marketing and customers are synced, I’ll be able to use Square text messaging, email notifications, check out reminders, etc.? I want everything to be through Square, whether they are purchasing directly from Square or eCommerce. I don’t want to use Mailchimp for some things and then Square as well.

If your Square Customers are successfully synced to your Square account, and you have signed up to Square Marketing, the feature to send text messages and email notifications will be available. Take a look here to get started. Also, Square has a specialized Marketing Team that can help you further as well as answer any specific questions related to Square Marketing and the compatibility of other platforms.
