Not Redeeming Loyalty Rewards On Discounted Items

Is there a way to let my customer gain points without being able to use any loyalty rewards on discounted items?  Would this be a feature request?

Hey @JUYBoutique20.  Unless I missed the memo (which I have a few times already this year. Ha) this would be a feature request.  I’m pretty sure that it IS a feature request already, but without a good search limited to only feature requests it’s hard to say.  But that’s one of the jobs of Square moderators, eh — to merge duplicate threads.  I’d just recommend submitting it.  As I recall @Candlestore has mentioned this as one of the big reasons that he can’t switch to Square Loyalty (but I might have made that up, too. LOL)

This was kinda a reason I did not move forward with the Loyalty program and the reason was Not being able to use Points at the Time of sale it would need to be the Next time they came in for a purchase.  My Bakers Dozen of Candles would not let People buy 12 and Get one Free that day but would add a Loyalty Point so they could get it their next visit.    Basically I was trying to merge the AutoDiscount and Loyalty which would not work in my situation so back to Punch Cards.

trying to search on this forum is about impossible.  most of the time I try to use Google with "site:sellercommunity.com" but there definitely should be a way to search just within a specific board like ideate etc.
