Does anyone have customers that have multiple credit cards linked to their accounts that simply are not theirs? People must be checking into account AFTER paying and then the next customer in line is checking out under the wrong loyalty account. Anyone have a solution to this?
Hi @Juicy1234
Thank you for bringing this to our attention—I understand how this could be confusing. There are a few possible reasons this might be occurring, such as sharing a credit card with others or someone making purchases on behalf of another individual. I think @Twpchair provided a great example of this situation.

I can help answer some of the questions about multiple customers on different cards. I am a retail furniture store and I deal with a lot of realtors who send down multiple about 4 different ladies who buy 600- to 2k in floor model furniture and decor and it's the owner of our local Century 21 office. He told me in advance. Myself, I am on all my dad's cards as an authorized user and have 2 of his cards. Now, most card apps first thing they ask is to add an authorized user. If you suspect fraud that's different. I've been with Square for a little over 12 years and you get to know your regulars quickly. Once they check out or hit pay that is it all information is gone. And they aren't copying a massive code. You can also at any time call customer service and explain what you think is happening and they will have someone on it fast and watching your transaction history attached to said card. Good luck and hopefully it's all good and they are like me and my 2 sons are on my Amazon account and order faster and their cards are on my account after verification and they pay for using their cards.
Thank you for sharing your insight @Twpchair! 🙏
You're welcome! I deal with 95% of our customers face-to-face and it's pretty common for the wife to have her husband's cards or vice versa. My biggest is ladies who stage houses for our local realtor. Online is much different but anymore between authorized users and additional cards it's gotta be confusing, especially for new owners. I have always had excellent help with Squares customer service and I don't or wouldn't hesitate to call if I had that gut feeling something wasn't right.
