I want to make two sites on one square account. One for my restaurant and another one for catering. I don't want the coupons I give out in marketing, or my loyalty program for the restaurant to be redeemable for catering. Catering runs on a much tighter budget, and I don't want to end up in the negative on a gig.
I don't see a way to make coupons and the loyalty program only available on one site. Is there a way to do that I don't see? Or do I need to cancel the loyalty and marketing stuff?
Hi @EatinFresh. So there are a couple of answers to your question.
As far as Loyalty goes, you can restrict rewards to certain categories or even to certain items. You can also restrict when you actually give customers points only for certain categories and/or items.
Marketing coupons work similarly — you can make the good only for certain categories and/or items when you create the coupon.
Having said all of that — this would require you to keep your catering categories and items separate from your in-store categories and items. So if you sold potato salad both as a side AND in a larger catering size, you’d need to have two different items in their own categories. You couldn’t have one item called Potato Salad, with two variations. If you do this, then you will have no problems using what Square offers and not have to pay for a third-party integration.
Let me know if this needs any clarification, or if it brought up any other questions!
