I have a client that uses square marketing to send emails. I am noticing DMARC failures in my monitoring portal coming from SendGrid. I can not find anywhere in their account to add DKIM keys or an SPF record to their domain that I manage. Is anyone able to assist with this?
Hi CMGLLC,
I'm thinking your concern is outside the scope of this community - we are not at the level of Tech Support. Most here are much better at business oriented type questions using Square. You may want to contact Tech Support direct. Note, Square does have a Developer Forum, there could possibly be someone there who can assist.
Hi CMGLLC I am also getting failure/quarantine for weebly emails I think they are the ones automatically sent when a customer orders. I think lots of time these are ending up in customers Junk or Spam and now with gmail tightening their criteria maybe not received at all. Did you ever get the syntax for the SPF record needed to add weebly as an authorized email sender? If yes can you pass along? Thanks so much! -Chris, Rebecca's Nut-Free
Hi CHRISRNF, So far no resolution 😕 I have tried adding Weebly, square, sendgrid, etc to SFP, but nothing worked, and would always come back as failed in our mail dashboard. I think this is going to cause issues going forward like you mentioned with gmail tightening criteria. If I figure this out I will let you know, but right now we are looking at moving away from Square.
Yes, also tried those things and then recently tried the individual IP addresses that I got from EasyDmarc, the software i am using to evaluate my pass/fails. Everything is passing except Weebly/Square emails which fail SPF and DKIM. I dont know what else to try. I also use Constant Contact for email marketing and when I logged in end of January there was a pop-up window with a message "Gmail and Yahoo will need Constant Contact added to your DNS before Feb 1" message, and then the 2 CNAME records to add. So easy and all my Constant Contact are passing 100%. Wish Weebly/Square had something like that 😞 If I have any luck I will pass along to you as well, thanks.
I use MailerLIte and got the same messages - need to authenticate. I'm pretty sure folks were not receiving my emails or I got auto "unsubscribe" thinking it was spam.
On Weebly, I was able to find it under Website, Domain (left menu). Then on the far right of your domain listed, click Manage and drop down to Manage Domain. Scroll down till you find DNS Records and click Add DNS record. Add the CNAME and SPF. At that point I followed MailerLite's tutorial as to what goes where. It authenticated right away. Whew!
Thanks OCF!
would you mind letting me know the CNAME record and SPF record syntax you used?
I tried adding the SPF record and it didn’t authenticate. Perhaps I have something wrong and I definitely did not add a CNAME record. That would be so helpful. I’m so glad you got it to work!!!
