I received an email from square on July 2nd saying I was eligible for somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 for card fee over charging. It said that this was for several years worth of overages. HoweverI received just $9 and they are now saying via the help desk that it was only from March of 2024. I'm so mad because I didn't screenshot where it said I was owed that money and the minute I filled out the form, everything disappeared. I think they are being shady about this.
Has anyone else had this experience? I feel like I'm being gaslighted.

It would be helpful if you could share a screenshot of the email you received, so I can check on what happened with the team.
Just with the dates you mentioned, sounds like this could be related to gift card fees.
We did have a small subset of Sellers we made adjustments for as a courtesy, but the adjustment was for about 1% on gift cards loaded and the charges had been made starting on March of this year, when we implemented fees for loading gift cards.
The dates match, but the amount you mention is really high for it to be related to this adjustment. To receive a $300 reimbursement, a Seller would have had to load about $30,000 to gift cards in just a few weeks.
I have no knowledge of any issues that would have caused Sellers to be overcharged for years and would definitely like to look further into this, so I'll keep an eye out for your reply and screenshot.
