Actionable?

So we are a business entity and we have an account with square. The secretary has taken off with the phone that square was registered to for the verification process. In the process of her registering her phone OUR BUSINESS EMAIL was also registered on the account. Since we cant access square at all or determine who the "registered owner" of the account is she has effectively stolen our square account and then in terms of using square our business email address also. Since we are a business entity and have that registered email that ALL our other accounts have she has effectively shut us down with the possibility of ever using square again. I guess I dont know why I'm bitching, we just need to close the account.

Hi @Plaintiff,

I'm sorry to hear about the frustrating situation!

If you have access to the email address that was used on your Square account, you can reset the password by clicking "forgot password?" on the login page. We'll then send a password reset link to your email address so you can sign into a different device to take payments.

If you're unsure who the owner of the Square Account is, you can check here once you're logged into your dashboard. If the secretary is listed as the owner, and has left the business, you can transfer account ownership with the steps outlined in this guide

Please let us know how you go!
