hi everybody, my name is Jason and I’m new here.
I started my Vegan food side hustle a little over a year ago calledPearl's Plant Kitchen www.pearlsplantkitchen.com
things have been growing, but now I’m trying to create some efficiencies and want to see where I could use Square to help with my growth, etc.
I have a fairly unique business model, and I’m trying really hard to figure out the best way to use technology to help automate and allow me to be in multiple places at once.
(Btw, sorry for the long post)
I make the food in a commercial kitchen, and then I sell directly to coffee, shops, and boutiques in the area.
I am also doing more direct sales to customers, and looking to move into online ordering as well.
I do not have a storefront and I don’t intend on having one.
My biggest problems right now are keeping track of inventory and invoicing the stores that I sell to.
I have a suggested retail price listed on the website, but I sell to the stores at a wholesale price and although I am trying to standardize on that currently there are some stores that have different discounting than others.
They’re keeping track of inventory of items settings, made, and ready to Deliver to the stores and then automating my invoices to them has become Challenging to say the least.
I have a couple people working for me who are constantly in the kitchen prepping and packaging so I’m trying to figure out how to start with an accurate inventory and then invoicing the stores for payment.
Guidance or suggestions anyone might have Would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome! You definitely have a different business model but I'm sure there are people, especially some other Champions who can help with this. Have you joined the Food and Beverage group yet? If not, I would definitely do so right away. You'll find a lot of connections there. We have several Champs in that group who can help! @Hailey or @nika can you tag a few for me?
Hey all! Looking forward to networking with the community!

Hello Everyone, my name is Leo Rodriguez and I am a Small Business Owner in Rock Springs, Wyoming. The name of my business is L-Rod's Custom Creations, and I do custom woodburnings on cutting boards, wall hanging signs and several other wood projects. I also make Custom bottle lamps from recycled glass pop bottles to alcohol bottles as well as wood based lamps, beer cap fishing lures and other small unique items. I recently became a licensed vendor through The University of Wyoming, so I am now able to make woodburning items with the UW logo and different Wyoming logos and place the official licensing sticker on the items. I have also recently just got my webpage up and running, and that can be found at www.l-rods-custom-creations.net
Thank You All, and Until Next Time
~Leo
