Square Terminal stuck on welcome screen at wifi

Hello, I am trying to setup a Square Terminal for the first time, but when I get to enter the WIFI password, it says it connects, then returns to the Netwok screen and the "next" button is greyed out?  I am connecting to my phone via hotspot if that makes a difference?

How many characters does your hotspot password have, and are you able to successfully connect other devices, e.g your laptop to the hotspot? It's a good idea to create a password with at least 8 characters. I'll keep an eye on your response 😊
