Can anyone help - our square terminal's screen turns off after 10 mins (the max setting) and when the screen is off the terminal does not show or sound any alerts for any new online orders...
It does print the order out, but I worry an order is going to be missed..
Is there any way to either stop the screen going off or for alerts to wake the device up?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to disable sleep mode on the Terminal, or enable alerts to wake up the device. These would both be feature requests, which you can file here.
Are your orders printing on the Terminal or do you use a third-party printer ?

Thanks for getting back to me, we need something to alert staff when a new online order comes in..
We have a 20min prep time so if there is no alert then the order can easily be missed and the customer's order will be delayed.
This is the only reason I bought the the square terminal so will send it back... What other options would you recommend if the terminal can't do this?

I'm sorry to hear that you're thinking of returning the Terminal.
Which Square device were you using until now? Will an iPad for example on the Square Stand, you can enable settings on the iPad so that it does not go to sleep.
