3 weeks ago when we were driving home from Iowa we got a call from the NC State Fair offering us a outdoor location. 40x30, 1200 sq. ft. Since we have been trying to get into this fair we jumped at it instantly. Normally we plan our fairs out a year in advance, but this one had to be put together in 3 weeks. We had to line up a tent, a floor not to mention inventory, luckily we had inventory on the way and in production for our Christmas show in November. We upped the production and and put new production in line to replace what we had to use for the state fair. It's been hard week setting up, but we are set up and ready for the fair to start on Thursday.
Glad you were able to pull this off! Is that your tent and floor or did you source those locally being last minute?
We sourced it locally, normally we are inside a building, but to get in this fair we had to take an outside location. The only bad thing about being outside is our hours. We will be open from 9am to 11:30 pm everyday, with restocking and general opening and closing of the booth means we will be there from 7:30am to after midnight everyday. Building hours are normally 9am to 9pm.
Wow!
That looks amazing
Way to pull it together.
We're doing something similar- we are going to be at a gem show end of this month- we've never done one before and are scared LOLOL
Thanks, fairs and shows are the best way to see a large group of people in a short amount of time. You will enjoy it and it’s a good way to gain followers and new customers.
