Square Terminal actually wont fit an iPad! Are you referring to Square Stand?

If you'd like to organise to return your Stand you can do so within 30 days of purchase per the instructions here. Also, make sure the iPad you have is supported by one of the two Stand models we sell - not every iPad available has a Stand that fill fit it!
