I am a Square Champion, that means I have a great realtionship with both the Seller Community and direct access to some of the Square teams that make the magic happen here. What are the questions you wish you could ask Square? What do you wish Square knew about your business processess or problems, those pain points nobody but you see?

As a Champion I might be able to find the answer, and as a Champion the powers that be might also be reading this thread 🙂

Hello, I have a BOGO 50% promotion with all menu items qualifying up to a $10 max. Why is Square discounting higher-priced items instead of the lower-priced qualifying items? Is there a setting to always apply the discount to the lowest-priced eligible i tried different settings and can’t seem to figure it out

Hi, I am trying to scan price embedded EAN-13 barcode labels through Square and it's not recognising the 5 digit SKU element. The format of the barcode is 2 digit prefix, 5 digit SKU, 5 digit price and a single check digit. Square seems to be searching for the whole code rather than just the SKU section. How do I fix this?

I do not know much about using price embdedded barcodes, but I will tag @tranguyen who might know a seller or 2 to tag, in the short term I would point you to these 2 links for some possible support:

I would also ensure you are generating this in a valid format as the check digit will break the barcode if its not correctly created

Thanks. That's the weird thing, my barcode is exactly as per the description here - https://squareup.com/help/ca/en/article/7419-scanning-bar-codes-from-label-printing-scales-on-point-... but Square just won't recognise it. I cannot work out wtf is going on.

Thanks for tagging me in @JTPets ! It sounds like it could be a bug. When you have a moment @SussexBiltong, could you share an example or two of the items you're having trouble with? If you can include the following info, it can help our team reproduce the issue (and makes it easier for other sellers with the right expertise to jump in as well!) 

• The barcode for the item you've set up
• The name of the item and all the details currently visible within your Item Library
• Do you get any error message when trying to scan the barcode?
• The model of your scanner
