How do you really get your business out there?

I just started my website today and I'm trying to genuinely get into drop shipping, What are the best tips and tricks to get my business to be seen by consumers?

Social Media- honestly- that's your best bet- start a TikTok and an Instagram and start pushing out a ton of content about your products.

Hey there @Steph0n.  Your are asking the right question  Too many new business owners think the can build a website and “they” will come. Trust me, “they” won’t. lol

Here’s a a link to a great Square Bottom Line article about the work you need to do to get your website noticed, to get it and your products/services indexed for maximum placement in search engines, etc. It takes work, time, patience and more but eventually the results are nothing short of amazing. 

I’ll emphasize one thing. If you can at all afford to hire someone who is an SEO expert to help you with this, do so. It will be the best investment in your online presence that you ever make. 

Feel free to ask more questions about this after you’ve read the article. After 13 years, I’ve got a pretty good handle on this stuff and am happy to share answers to specific questions.

I'm going to add to this..

If they're drop shipping I'm assuming that they are selling a physical product. People buy from people that are passionate and believe in the product. You need a product mix of items that lights you up- that's the only way people are going to buy it from you.

Thank you so much! Yeah a lot of people I see making fresh websites often think that it starts off with a huge influx of people or that it'll gain traction on its own, which is far from the truth and i became pretty aware of that from before i started the site. I knew i needed to do some type of promo to get my Website to gain traction. So I'll make sure to look into the article deeply, and I never knew that i could hire a SEO expert until now so that's something that I'll definitely keep on my roster!

When you first kick off SM is a real big help. It will help get your name out there cost effectively, but your reach as you grow will be controlled to a degree by the tech companies as the look for payback through advertising (unless you content is hitting the mark from day one).  As mentioned already SEO is key, I've heard SEO is changing a little with the introduction of AI, not sure what the implications exactly are but you might want to do some background reading on this as you are just setting out. Feel free to come back and tell us all what it means.😊

Just a point on drop shipping, do some checks on your suppliers to make sure their systems are robust for fulfilment and that they have capacity/stock build sufficient to cover especially those busier times. You don't want to work hard finding and converting customers only to be let down by suppliers.
