Have a PC and Want to sell Gift Cards

Just found out that I cannot set up the gift cards I purchased from Square on my PC. Their response - Basically, "too bad for you. Have a nice day!"

Hey there @drkimyoo. You didn't say you wanted help or ideas, but I'll go out on a limb anyway and assume you aren't just complaining.

So, currently, NO you can not sell gift cards using Virtual Terminal on desktop/laptop computer. Those must be sold from one of the Square POS apps on any mobile phone or tablet that supports the Square Apps. Can you explain why you can't use one of these to sell your plastic gift cards?

Also, when I fire up Virtual Terminal on my laptop, there is a field in the Payments section where you can manually enter gift card numbers to redeem them. (see screen shot) There is nothing there that says this can't be a plastic card or an eCard, so it looks like either will work. If you have your plastic gift cards, the best way to test this is to create a test card (using a Square POS app on your phone) and then try to redeem it using Virtual Terminal.
