Good afternoon,
My partner and I own 3 Japanese take-away in Victoria, all of them using Square.
We've kind of build them overtime, and the price structure/trading aware/needs of all 3 stores are a bit different.
We are finding ourselves wanting to streamline all of this now that we have a bit more time on our hands.
One of the big challenge we have is the use of multiple platform (Square, Uber, MenuLog, DoorDash, etc..) making it tedious to update prices across all platforms and each store and stay consistent.
The other challenge we have is we supply schools/TAFE/government hubs, etc... We feel like if they had a way to order online somehow, with a login/platform dedicated to them, with potentially pricing different depending on the client, we could grow this service a lot faster. We would need them to have access to our product, with a dedicated platform, and the store to receive a summary of the order in the morning.
Apologies in advance if this is pretty scattered, we are looking for someone who could help us streamline our POS, and grow this website/ordering platform. It looks like Square offers options on both fronts, we're just a bit overwhelmed with it and not sure how to go about it.
Thanks,
Ant
Hey Ant @PaperCranesSush 👋
Welcome to the community!
I understand why you'd be feeling overwhelmed, but luckily there are a few tools to help you streamline your online ordering.
Deliverect, for example, integrates with several online ordering platforms allowing you to manage menus from one place while feeding them to your point of sale. Learn more about Deliverect's integration with Square here, and check out some other delivery integrations here.
In regard to a dedicated platform with a login option, this is not something you can do on Square Online right now. Setting up a password-protected page for your online store might be an option worth considering if you'd like those TAFE / government hubs a chance to place an order online with a different pricing option. Integrating a contact form to allow customers to submit an inquiry for a quote.
Otherwise, you could consider working with a developer to use Square API on a custom-built application or website.
Hopefully, some other sellers can share their suggestions here, too 🙂
