Completely lost in the wilderness. Try to set up payments for professional services.

I'm trying to set up payment options for individual clients to pay for services rendered, but for the life of me I can't see how Square works in this space.  Everything seems to be directed at selling physical items online (via an online store) or tapping a contact credit card in a shop.  All my clients are remote and receive individual invoices from me.  I just want to be able to send an invoice and then they pay with their credit card via the Square App or online store I'm guessing.

Any advice appreciated.

Okay, maybe it's as simple as the client tells me the card number over the phone and I manually enter the details on the Square app on my iPhone?
