Commission splits, booth rent, month end reporting, tracking sales, vendor portal, consignment sales

Hi! ๐Ÿ‘‹   We have 8+ years owning and operating a multi-location, family-owned boutique that also includes vendor booths on consignment in an antique mall type set-up.    Anyone else in this same boat?  Have questions? Or want to get started?  I'd love to help!  Toss me your questions!  I may not have the answers, but I'm happy to help if I can!  Have a great day! ๐Ÿ˜ŽโœŒ๏ธ

Square Champion

Hi there! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ˜Š Fellow Square seller and Square Champion here!

First off, I love seeing experienced business owners sharing their knowledge and offering to help others in the community! โค๏ธ

Iโ€™m an independent hairstylist with over 25 years in the industry, and I currently rent a booth in a salon, so your post definitely caught my attention!

While my business operates a little differently from your boutique, I can absolutely relate to the importance of keeping individual sales, booth rent, expenses, and reporting organized.

One thing Iโ€™ve always found interesting is how Square can be used across so many different business models, but each setup comes with its own unique challenges.

Iโ€™m actually curious about how youโ€™re handling your consignment vendors within Square!

Are you using separate locations, specific item categories, or another method to track individual vendor sales and calculate commissions? And are you able to generate accurate month-end reports directly through Square, or do you use additional software?

I imagine with multiple locations and numerous vendors, keeping everything organized can become quite the task!

Iโ€™d love to hear more about your workflow. Even though Iโ€™m in the beauty industry, I think thereโ€™s so much we can learn from one another as independent business owners.

Thank you for being willing to share your experience and help others! Thatโ€™s exactly what makes this community valuable. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘
