Clear pricing beats clever pricing

Sometimes we see organizers try bundles, stacked add-ons, weird price endings, complex early-bird math etc. It feels strategic, but it often just confuses people. And when buyers hesitate, it’s usually because they’re doing math, instead of just zipping through the checkout.

 

Here is what we observe:

- Events with one clear main price convert about 18% higher than multi-layered bundle setups.

- Round numbers convert better than $47.32 style pricing by roughly 9%.

- Pages where total cost is visible early reduce checkout drop-off by ~14%.

 

So simple prices work because they removes doubt. Clever pricing can work too, but only if the value is obvious in seconds.
