Using Square savings for a benefit

Hi...So I am wondering if any of you have found a way to automatically move the sales from a particular item into a Square savings account. For example, I have a coffee shop and we are in the process of opening a bookstore. I have had some tote bags with the bookstore logo printed onto it and I want to sell those with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit the bookstore. I am looking for a way to automatically have the proceeds from the sales of the totes to go into a square savings account rather than into my bank account. Customer service says there is no way to automate that but thought maybe some of you had a workaround. Otherwise, I guess I will just manually move it at the end of each day. Thanks!

Hello @DMatte thanks for your post. I am unaware of any kind of workaround that would accomplish this automatically. The Square Savings account is separated by "folders" where you can specify an amount % of your Square Credit Card sales, so it can't be setup by specific item.

The only suggestion I could offer is this: if you are able to guess how much of these you'll sell, you could set an auto % to go into a temp Savings folder. For example, setup your Savings folder to save 3% of your Square CC sales. Then at the end of the month or quarter, tally up how much you've sold of the tote bag item. If you're lucky, then the amount you would have saved would cover that amount, and you can transfer the whole amount from the savings folder into your regular bank account. Any extra you saved would be a bonus, and then you'd have the amount to cover the sales of the totebag as well.
