Square Loan Offers 2026 Inconsistency?

I had two square loans, relatively low balances and paid them all off no problem. On the second loan, my sales increased 3500 percent, and I used cash to pay off less than 25 percent of the remaining balance.

It took 7 days for Square to count the payment and I haven’t been offered a new loan on day 9. Should I just forget it?

The first two loans they kinda badgered me with emails and I didn’t want to take them because they were small dollar but now that I’ve exceeded it and got momentum, Square is withholding. It makes me wish I would have held off until after. Looking for advice here?  All I get is the boilerplate language from square about the algorithm.

Hi @DTM4446

The things that I say here will also sound like the reps and a broken record like the algorithm which is because that is all of the concrete things that we and the reps know about Square loans.  By reading the forums and posts here on Square loans everyone should know that the loans are very inconsistent and typically don't come in when you need them, and can be much lower than you expect when they do come in. Each business is different and is treated as such. I've seen countless threads and posts where people keep asking about offers and % paid back, but very very rarely they don't talk about the actual amount owed on that %.  For example, A seller getting a new offer with @ lets say  60% (with a $1,300 balance)  is more likely than someone at the same % but with $13,000 remaining.

The 7 days paid back is I believe in their FAQ of the loan section, as it states any manual payment can taken 7-10 business days to fully process and post.  By making a manual payment does not guarantee a new offer will generate however.  So if it has only been 7 business days, keep processing with Square and if everything looks good I would check more around the 11-12 day mark.

My advice with Square loans, don't ever expect one.  If you don't anticipate ever getting one , you'll never be disappointed or discouraged.  If/When an offer comes in you can then make the financial decision then.
