First, congrats! It sounds like the timing was perfect for you, which is great.
As for the somewhat disappointing amount of your offer, I might be wrong but I’m betting that yours could be the first of many such comments this year.
While the lending market is certainly loosening up a little with interest rate stabilization, there are still big economic concerns on the horizon in 2025. Most likely, inflation will skyrocket after promised new tariffs are implemented and the promised mass deportations hit a few economic sectors hard. Also, it seems certain that near certain tax cuts are going to explode the national debt to unheard-of levels. None of this bodes well for lenders. I have a feeling that lenders will still lend, but that they will be obviously cautious about their exposure in their balance sheets.
Fingers crossed it all works out in a few years. But, for now, I’m glad to hear some good news on the Square Loans front. Thanks for posting! I hope this is only the first good business news for you in 2025!
