I set up my square account yesterday

I set my square account up yesterday, I had a customer pay her $8,136 deposit today, via tap to pay. I have the banking through square for business, and I linked an external business account. How long for the funds just to show up in square, so I can use the funds VIA square, with the square business card and not have it transfer to my external account?

Hey there @ForgeCon.. So, welcome to Square, and welcome to the Seller Community.  I have to give you a couple of answers here.

First, you said you have "banking through Square for business."  I'm assuming this means that you have a Square checking account and are waiting on your physical debit card.  If so, then those funds should be in that checking account any time now.  That being said, sometimes our first few transactions can take some time -- ESPECIALLY large ones.  For the record, Square is required to ensure that large transactions are on the up and up because, sometimes, bad actors set up Square accounts to launder money quickly until they are caught.

If you do have a Square Checking account, then automatic transfers to your external account have been disabled and always will be.  If you want to move funds to your external account, you'll need to do that manually.

Lastly, if you ever have questions about a specific transaction or funds that you aren't seeing, you should get on the phone with customer support.  We can answer general questions here in the Community, but they have access to your account to answer specific questions and concerns.

If you need anything else, just let us know.
