I had a loan offer last Thursday As a grace or luck , my funds were available and in my balance in less than 2 hours! However Fri Sat and Sun the 14.92% I agreed to be pulled from daily sales to assure min payment of loan satisfied, didn't happen. I looked into further on dashboard and my loan is listed as money on its way. Therefore making a payment is not an option. I'd like to make a payment and can't . Has anyone else experienced this? If so what happened?
Hello @LadyFoxtrot
@First, congrats on getting your loan offer! I hope you’re able to really grow your business with the additional funds.
As for repayment, you usually get a day or two after the distribution before payments kick in. Since you got your loan Thursday late, you got Friday as a freebie. My bet is since you were so close to the weekend, the repayment plan didn’t get applied since it fell outside “bankers hours.”
Verify that repayment funds are being pulled today (Monday). If so, I think there’s nothing you need to worry about and if you want to, you should be able to make an additional payment later today or tomorrow. If no repayments happen today, I definitely recommend calling into support to figure things out.
Hey @Twpchair !
Okay a few things...
-I stuck my head in the Loans forum... wow. I don't know how you have the patience to answer as many questions as you do... #respect.
-If you've seen this a few times, I wonder if there's a problem after all. Let's ping @Abby_M and @Sammie_C for further insight.
-I will happy steer clear from breaking things with the loans product. They're already a little mad at me about my current rate of repayment...
Hi @LadyFoxtrot !
Appreciate you taking the time to post.
I took a look at your account and can confirm you have a type of Square Loan that is currently in beta testing. This type of Square Loan is supported by another team. I’ve passed your case along to a team member who can help you further with your loan inquiry. You should hear back shortly via email.

@ryanwanner thank you first and 2nd is something you could address or have someone just take a peak in your other area of “breaking things” 😆 this is number 3 or 4 and I responded with the same reply. I am usually a weekend girl myself and know how it operates. Thank you so much for everything!

Thank you @ryanwanner for helping out! I thought we were in a pm! 👀👀👀👀Got it! A huge thank you for being here. Wherever we are! They are popping up like wacka mole.
Hey I know it's a little tardy just like me in hs!!! But thanks for the reply and you were spot on. Even already got loan repaid. Helped pay off cc that was due 2 days after loan was received but gotta say kind of a bi*ch to pay back lol. 14.92% of each sale plus processing fee I was only depositing ~ 83% of sales. Plus as you know expenses draining the cash fund with quickness. So last 90 days was a bit tight eek! But I did get one more month with out interest on my cc. Ok I will quit rambling and don't feel self conscious I break things on the regular sometimes when angry and attempting not to completely lose my 💩 or harm my husband lol. Jk no violence intended or suggested in post. Thanks bud happy selling
@LadyFoxtrot Your "eek" moment re: Square Loans is spot-on. That is the one downside that most sellers never consider -- the repayment rate is always applied, every sale, every day, until the loan is paid off. And if you have a really great sales day, you just pay more and pay the loan off faster -- resulting in a rather high APR% if you bother to do the math to convert the loan fee to APR after you've paid off the loan. And I keep seeing people who are living from loan offer to loan offer and are one "no loan offer" away from closing their business. That's not wise nor good for sleeping at night. Thankfully, I've not been in that situation.
Still, merchant cash advances like this do have their advantages and uses. I've used them strategically over the years, and only/always after I plotted out the cash flow and was sure it made sense to do this. Honestly, I thought I had outgrown Square Loans after 10+ years, but I recently took out what will probably be the last one I do. This time, my business had grown enough that I got a really good offer -- one that would basically help me FINALLY reach my goal of retiring all of my pandemic-incurred debt. Doing this forced me to prioritize getting rid of that debt since I now must pay back the loan every day. Best of all, if my sales predictions for this ice cream season hold true, I'll have 80% of this loan paid off by October! On paper this Square Loan made a lot of sense for both debt retirement, cash flow and ultimately my sanity at not having to think about the blasted pandemic any more! Ha.
Anyway, thanks for coming back here and reporting your experiences and success with Square Loans. I'm sure that @Twpchair @ryanwanner @marielmt appreciate know how your story ended after their great advice.
I love hearing great news here! Thanks for the tag and congrats to both of you! Way to go @ryanwanner its comments like. This that keep you going daily and that feeling you get when someone just says thank you, I have had a rough day and you helped me through it. That’s why we do all we can to help out. Kudos to you and everyone!
PS, I love the disclaimer at the very end!!! 😆 😆 no violence intended or suggested. I might or should borrow that for my own protection!😂
