Anyone else have issues with square debit card, charging some transactions twice, and not get it bac

I have had square checking debit card for about 6 months now, twice I've had an amount of a debit transaction, once at a local gas station, and once at local shop, where i used my square card for pymt and later see that the amount came out of my checking twice! Back to back as if i swiped my card twice (but i didnt and the store didnt) and stores have showed me where they only charged me once and only got pymt once but square acct shows twice and its taken from my acct twice... who got the second amount? Square dispute said they were working on it.. 4 months ago and they finally messaged me i lost the dispute... ummm what!? How its not being disputed by anyone but ME!?  Getting fed up

I am sorry to hear about this experience. I have searched around and haven't found any additional reports of this happening to other Sellers. I will keep my eyes open and report back with any findings.

Yes because this happened to me, except it’s pending for $100.00 when my original charge was $84. 

It is pending though so I am hoping I’m not being charged it.

Some businesses (e.g. gas stations & hotels) will place a temporary charge on your payment card. Since pumping gas is an open-end purchase, gas stations will typically pre-authorize your payment card for a larger amount to ensure that your card has enough funds to cover the amount of gas you’ll leave with. This pre-authorization is typically $100.

This pre-authorization happens the moment you insert your card and will still be reflected on your statement temporarily even if you ultimately decided to not get gas or the card gets declined. These pending authorizations can take up to 14 days to clear. In the future, you can pay inside, at the register for a specific amount instead of at the pump. This should prevent a temporary pre-authorization from being placed on your Square Card.
