Why am I inconsistently getting push notifications?

I am frustrated with the notifications in Appointments. I have the system set up to send me both text and push notifications, but they only come through randomly. This frustrates clients who end up calling saying, "Are you going to approve my appointment?" Also I may miss an appointment because I didn't see it was requested. Anyone else having this problem?

Well I figured it out with the help of ChatGPT. I had all the notifications allowed in the app, but the frustrating part is they were inconsistent. If they didn't come through at all that would make more sense. 

 

As it turns out, the problem was the battery saving settings on my phone. It was putting Square into a sleep mode when not actively in use. I selected "unlimited" battery use and now the push notifications come through no problem. See screenshot. 

 

Go to Settings -> Apps -> Square -> Battery
