Timezone Error

Hi! Is anyone else having an issue with timezones when they leave their timezone?

 

I have my locations locked [supposedly] to the timezone where the locations are based (California), but when I leave town and change timezones, my Square Appointments app shifts to the new timezone where I am which makes it extremely confusing to read the schedule.

 

I'd like my Square Appointments app to be locked in the timezone of the business location, regardless of where I am opening the Square Appointments app from. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

 

Steps - 

Navigate to Appointments Settings: In your Square Dashboard, go to Appointments > Settings > Calendar & Booking. 

Choose your preference: Select either "Allow customers to choose timezone when booking" or "Lock booking timezone to business location timezone". 


I have always chosen to "Lock booking timezone to business location timezone", but it is still incorrect when I leave the timezone.

This is rather unusual and I can see how that would make your schedule a bit confusing. Just to confirm, this is only occurring on Square Appointments, correct?

 

If so, this sounds like it may be a limitation of our software unfortunately. I did find a Square Community post from last year that has some workarounds, if you would be interested in taking a look.

 

Please let me know if any of these workarounds help, and if not, I can definitely look into this further.

Thanks!! It looks like the user is setting his clock on his phone back to the locations timezone temporarily. It would be best if the Square Appointments app was truly locked at the timezone of the location, not the timezone of the device.
