Suggestions to help improve the Square Appointments booking flow

Hello,

 

I’d love to suggest a few improvements to Square Appointments that would make the booking process more seamless for both clients and service providers.

 

Currently, I use Acuity Scheduling, but I prefer Square because I also use the POS system and would like everything under one platform.

 

When clients book a service, it would be helpful if they could select add-ons (such as hair treatments, detoxing, or deep conditioning) as variations—similar to choosing a T-shirt in different colors. These add-ons should not alter the base service, just add a fixed additional cost (e.g., $15–$20).

 

Additionally, it would be useful if clients could select color preferences (e.g., purple for braids) directly within the booking flow, so I can see all service details in advance.

While Square currently offers options for service customizations, we’re actively exploring ways to enhance how clients can choose add-ons without disrupting the main service flow. Your example of applying this like T-shirt color options is spot on.

🎨 Color or style preferences: Including details like braid color at the time of booking is another great suggestion that would help providers prepare more efficiently.

 

Our product teams are continually improving Square Appointments based on customer feedback like yours, and I am SO glad you're considering consolidating all your tools under the Square platform.
