I created a single $10/month recurring membership subscription in Square. I did not intentionally create annual plans, prepaid plans, or discounted subscription tiers.
However, on the checkout page, Square is automatically displaying additional options like “Annually” and other subscription variations that I never manually added.
I only want customers to see ONE simple recurring monthly membership option with no alternate billing cadences, no prepaid annual options, and no discounted commitment tiers.
I have already checked the subscription item settings and cannot figure out where these extra options are coming from.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a hidden setting tied to billing cadence, subscription duration, or prepaid subscriptions that causes Square to auto generate these tiers? And is there a way to fully disable them so the checkout page only displays a single monthly subscription option?
