Prevent Price Changing in Square Appointments at time of checkout or when booking a service

In Square Appointments my employees can change the price of a service at the time of booking it or at checkout. This is NOT acceptable... Employees should NOT be able to change ANY prices without proper authorization or access. I have been unable to find an option to prevent this. Is there an option to fix this and if not will you add that option.

I've recently switched from Mindbody Booker which FULLY allows you to customize and prevent employees from changing prices. This should be an option to prevent price changing and I would greatly appreciate a way to resolve this issue. Thank you

Hello @Scissors_Salon,

Have you tried adding your employees as team members in the dashboard and then setting up permissions for them? Are the services set-up as variable or are they adding discounts?

You can stop variable pricing by adding a set price in each service. You can stop discounts by removing that option from their permissions. If they are editing the prices you set in the libary, you can also prevent them from doing this in permissions.

Check out: https://app.squareup.com/dashboard/team/permissions/

Did this ever get resolved? Having the same issue. Team permissions allow employees to manipulate prices for services in checkout. They can't apply discounts without escalation/approval but Square doesn't appear granular enough to restrict this unless I'm missing something but i have it locked down pretty tight.

Hello, having same issue here. Were you able to resolve this? Square support has so far been unhelpful in resolving. Thank you.

Have you looked deeper into permissions? If your prices are set to variable, than there is nothing you can do. You'll need to make the prices of your services set in stone. Blank or variable prices will just ask the cashier how much.

If they are using the keypad, you can restrict them from having that access or remove the keyboard from the POS.
