I use appointments with all online booking and was trying to figure out if I could offer my customers the loyalty program. I know I can not offer coupon codes with appointments but what about gift cards? Also what about subscriptions? Are they available to customers booking and prepaying online?
Hey I hope I can help a little. I use Square Appointment on a daily basis (Nail Studio) and have been able to offer my clients coupon codes. I'm usually away from my computer but I go through the Square POS App, then choose notifications....then messages...
this shows me when appointment reminders went out to certain clients...choose client/customer...and at the bottom left you should see a "+" (click it)
one of the options that come up is "Coupon"

Hi thanks for your reply. How can my customers use the coupon codes when they check out? The book and prepay on line but there isn’t an option to enter a coupon code. I want to give my customers the option to join a loyalty program but will it work with pre pay appointments and booking online?
Okay let me see if I can quarterback this because I just used this option. The customer gets the coupon code and now its time to check out...let's say we're checking out from the Appointment app
- Click "Review and Check Out"
-Then choose "Add Item or Discount"
-Next choose "Redeem Rewards"
(mine was the second option at the top...may appear a little different on yours)
-Choose "Use Code" from top right corner
-Type Code in and then "Redeem"

And I'm not sure if it will work with prepay or if you'll have to take payment at the end......
I handed out scratch offs with different discounts but all my appointments are prepaid online, I can not figure out how to apply the discount because the service is already paid. The discount was intended to be used on the next service but now I am a bit stuck trying to figure out how to work around this issue since they pay at booking and can not use a code. I am wondering will I need to refund each customer for the amount of the discount they were given? I have a delivery service and I go to the customers home to deliver but they book the time online and prepay. Omg I feel like I just wasted lots of time with discounts and now my customers will be disappointed since they can not get the discount, Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

At this time, Online Booking doesn't offer Discounts or Coupons. Since you have already spent the time handing out discounts, I recommend you add to your booking site a text indicating that the coupon will be applied at the visit. This way when they present the coupon, you will be able to refund them the difference in the service.
Our team is working hard on bringing this feature to Online Booking but is still exploring Seller interest and use cases.
I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.

My question pertains to the plastic gift cards. I have had several customers ask about gift cards with the holidays coming they make great gifts but I was wondering will the gift cards be able to be saved to the customers profile like a credit card and used at checkout when booking the desired service. I know that square appointments is VERY limited on EVERYTHING and I did not want to waste my money on purchasing gift cards if my customers are not able to use them. Thanks
