No-Show protection when pre-booking in salon

There is no option to save a card for no-show protection when pre-booking a client's next appointment.

There IS the option of putting a card on file, but they can simply unlink that whenever they want.

My stylists are very good about pre-booking clients before they leave, but we still need to be able to get no-show protection on these appointments booked in the salon on our Square Appointments app. Help!

At this point, we're having to ask clients to do their own pre-booking on their phone. It's awkward.

Totally understand your frustrating.  Most of our clients love having their card on file and it does protect us from last minute cancellations and no shows.  I don't think that Square can take the option away from a client to not to be able to unlink their card ( I think that the feature is because of the laws set in place).  We do have a few clients who always unlink their cards...but we do not feel any way having them make their own appointments.  This protects our books as well as our sanity.  We will gladly explain to our clients that the policy is that if we make appointments for them and prebook them out then a valid card must be on file at all times....if they are uncomfortable then we totally understand and want to make sure they have the best service at all times.......so at their convenience they can go online and book when they need to come in.  We then remind them how far out in advance we book up...so if you can't get in then you can add yourself to the wait list.  Hope this helps 🙂
