@I have a Bridal store as well as alterations that we use the Square for. I have not been able to figure out how to set up a way to send an appointment confirmation that is based on what the appointment is. Right now, the one I have is for the alterations appointment and it is being sent to my wedding gown try on to purchase appointments as well and that is not working. I have read everything and have not found how to do this. Please help.
Hi @RobinWestphal. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but currently Square Appointments does not allow for different templates based upon differences in services and/or products. The notifications are “one size fits all” at this time.
I can only think of one short-term workaround right now. That would be to create a page on your website. This page (which would NOT be in your site navigation bar) would have a section for each service (alterations, wedding gowns, etc) with the appropriate information in each. Then you could change your confirmation template to include the link to that webpage.
As far as the long-term solution, you’re going to need to head over to the Square Ideate Board and submit a feature request to the Appointments Team. Explain your situation and why this would be a great idea not only for you but for the wider Square seller market. This will get the ball rolling on an evaluation process and you will be informed of Square’s decision whether or not to include this on a future product roadmap. I’ll point out that most likely Square has already planned the changes that are on its immediate roadmap for the next few months. So, even if your suggestion is accepted, it will take significant time to design it, test and implement it. So hopefully the short-term workaround above helps you not care too much for the moment.
Let me know if I can be of any other assistance.
