So I tried this in discounts even though it is not a discount. I wanted to offer a service for Mondays from 9am-Noon only. When I set this up in discounts and set the time parameters for Mondays, the service shows up as bookable for every day of the week at every time.
Am I trying to do something that just can not be done?
Hi @Lbarkand. As you’ve figured out, discounts is not the place to attempt what you are trying to do. This is because discounts aren’t applied until it is time for the customer to actually process a payment.
Currently, in Square Appointments, the only way I know to accomplish this is to assign this limited service to a team member that is not really a team member. This “team member” would only have a booking calendar that had Mondays from 9am - Noon available. Of course, this means that you’d have to manually assign the service to whatever team member is doing it, but at least customers could not book the service for any other time slot.
Other than that workaround, I can’t think of a way to accomplish this since, currently, Square Appointments does not allow the feature to restrict services to certain days and time periods. Of course, you could submit a feature request to the Appointments team on the Ideate Board to allow restricting services by time period. But this would just start an evaluation process and implementation would take a while IF they decided to add the feature to the product roadmap.
