HI - we have 4 chairs for one service and I'm not clear how I can set up resources so that it can book up to 4 appointments and does not get blocked if only 1 books.
Any help?
To set up resources in Square Appointments so that multiple appointments can be booked for a single service without blocking the resource when only one appointment is made, you can follow these steps:
Log in to your Square Dashboard:
Navigate to Appointments:
Set Up Resources:
Add Resources:
Configure Availability:
Assign Resources to Services:
Booking Settings:
Each chair can be booked independently, allowing up to 4 appointments at the same time for the same service.
By setting up each chair as an independent resource, you can allow multiple clients to book the same service simultaneously without blocking the resource for subsequent bookings. Hope this helps 🙂

As of September 2024, "Resources" is now found under Appointments > Library > Services > Resources instead of Appointments > Settings > Resources & Staff, where you should be able to set up resource availability.

This article is very helpful, but as of Sept 2024, the UI is a little different.
In step 3, I found "Resources" under Appointments > Library > Services > Resources instead of Appointments > Settings > Resources & Staff (thanks to customer success rep).
*This feature requires Appointments Premium plan.
