Domain Mistake

Hi all,

Let me preface this by saying that I am new at square appointments and domains. I run a jewelry business and am having my website built (not a square site). I purchased a domain from Google for this. I then created a Square Appointments site so that I could redirect from my website to my Square Appointments site for bookings. I somehow managed to link my Square Appointments site to my domain. So now when I type in my domain url, it brings up the square appointments booking page. I have disconnected this on Google Domains end but cannot seem to get it removed from my Square account. I want to use the square url. How do I do this?

Hey there @oanhn, welcome to the Seller Community! 👋

Domains can be really fiddly and we get a lot of questions about this topic on this platform. Let's make sure I'm on the same page with you here before we dive in!

Were you creating a booking button for your existing site, so that when customers select 'Book Now' it takes them through the online Square Appointments booking flow?

And it sounds like instead, you've managed to point your Google domain to the online Square Appointments booking site by updating the DNS settings for your Google domain.

If you're not comfortable updating these settings, your domain host should be able to help you. Let them know that you have mistakenly connected your domain to your booking site, and they will be able to assist you in redirecting your domain to your main website. It's a little tricky for us to help out with that step given that your domain is hosted by Google and not Square.

I also want to clarify what you mean by 'use the Square URL'? Are you able to explain what you mean by this?
