I have other hardware for point of sale but love Square Appointments for scheduling. Is it possible to checkout clients without recording payment? I take and record payment using my other POS system but would like to checkout my clients so that the system recognizes they have 'visited' and marks the service as complete
@NS11880 You can set up an alternate tender in the dashboard, and I am sure you could use that to check out the clients or just cash it out and then do the transaction in the other point of sale software.
Personally, I think it is fantastic that you like how the square software works, is there a specific reason why you wouldn't want to use them for all of your payments? One of the reason the software is free to use on many levels is that square offsets these costs with processing payments. I would encourage you to at least look at doing payments through square if you are going to use their software. It seems counterintuitive to bounce back and forth when you could seamlessly check out a client.
Great point Donnie, I was actually wondering the same thing myself. I am currently checking to make sure I don't have any contract, termination fees, etc with my current POS/Merchant services, and if I don't I will be switching to Square POS and hardware for a cheaper and fully integrated system while keeping my current business bank accounts.
