Appointment and cancellation fee issues

Hello, 

 

Sometimes I'll have clients who book an appointment and select the wrong service, so I manually adjust their appointment on my end to reflect the correct service and cost. 

 

However, if the client decides to cancel and I decide to enforce my cancellation policy and charge the cancellation fee, Square charges the incorrect amount. It charges the cancellation fee for the service that was initially booked instead of the service that I updated the appointment with. So, is there a way to manually adjust this? Is there some sort of setting that needs to be changed or is this just some sort of bug on Square's end?

 

I'm using Booking with No-Show Protection for appointments. I hope this information makes sense. Please advise. Thank you!

I understand what you’re saying...we use Square Appointment as well for our nail salon services.  So there isn’t a way for it to automatically charge the amount that you would like...it’s only going to charge the amount that the client booked.  We make sure that we have all client cards on file.  Instead of going through the system and charging them, we create an invoice with the service that was suppose to be scheduled and charge the card on file.
